the heart behind joyfolk
Meet Melissa
Founder of Joyfolk Pets
Where wellness wags and love lives long.
Hi, I’m Melissa. Mom of two, lifelong animal lover, and tech attorney by day. Joyfolk Pets began as a personal shift toward more mindful, natural pet wellness for myself, my family, and the animals who share our hearts and homes.
After navigating the loss of three cherished pets, Maggie, Marley, and Charlotte, I felt called to create a space where others could find simple, soul-soothing ways to care for their companions with intention. What started with natural remedies and slow walks outside has become a wholehearted mission to help others embrace natural pet wellness and reconnect with their pets, with nature, and with what matters most.
Through Joyfolk, I hope you’ll discover small rituals and easy changes that bring more wellness, more joy, and more time spent side by side. Whether it’s a homemade paw balm, a walk in the woods, or a mindful moment with your pet curled up beside you, this is your invitation to live gently and love well.
Our approach to natural pet wellness honors both scientific knowledge and intuitive wisdom. Learn more about our journey in our brand story.
Because they’re never with us quite long enough. These days, I share my world with Boomer, Penelope, and Luna, my beloved crew, constant inspiration, and very enthusiastic product testers.
With love, paws, and purpose,
Melissa
